Quercus, oak

 Astringent, good topically for burns, good for mouthwash short term. Oak is the source of tannin. Oak galls are highest in tannin. All parts of tree are astringent. Good as skin wash for sunburn.

QUERCUS 

As a mouthwash for bleeding gums. Acute early stages of herpes, topically. Chronic epistaxis. Capillary fragility (with bioflavonoids). Dysentery, general supportive astringent. Bleeding ulcers. Decubitus with granular ulcerations (externally). Skin ulcers with spongy granulation. Internal bruises.
