Materia Medica Lesson 6-6: Corallorhiza Coral Root, Crawley

 Strong and efficient diaphoretic that is devoid of heat production. So, it breaks a fever without raising temperature. Good for dangerously high fevers, especially in kids. It just induces sweating. Also good for mastitis to sweat out fluid and post partum infection when fever spikes quickly. Causes profuse sweating. Good first aid for emergencies.

CORALLORHIZA (Coral Root, Crawley) ROOT. Tincture [Fresh Root, 1:2, Dry Root, 1:5, 60% alcohol] 30-90 drops in hot water. Cold Infusion 3-6 ounces, reheated. STATUS : W/LA

Chronic cough with chest pains, anorexia, diminished strength. Post-febrile pneumonia with debility, heavy secretions, protracted cough, weight loss, low chi.
