Class Notes from Lesson 1-18 Constitutional

 Lesson 1-18: GI Disbyosis

The first one with Michael Moore. I believe his definition of "disbyosis" is a change in bodily excretions that alters flora in and on the body - bacteria and fungi. He explains how the digestive system makes it own "soap" to break down dietary fats. Junk food and eating while stressed are bad for you - malabsorption of lipids. Not eating breakfast dehydrates gallbladder. Causes gall stones. Makes more lipase/fat eating bacteria in the colon. Causes inflammation... blisters, ulcers.

His opinions on dietary fats are somewhat outdated - not differentiating between types of fats, much. I wonder if he ever wondered how traditional peoples in the far north, all around the globe, ate diets almost entirely composed of fat and protein (preferring fatty meats, butter, etc... and eating very few veggies, grains and sugars), and lived longer, healthier lives than the average American diet, that he calls too high in fat. But then again.... well, he is obviously very intelligent, but not exactly fit..... so the brain and body may not have been entirely in accord, which is a sign of a deficiency in linear thought.

He gets a bit into leaky got and fecal transplant.
