Class Notes from Lesson 2-2 Constitutional

Lesson 2-2 Taught by Michael Moore. Short lesson.

Eye washes. 1 teaspoon plus a dash of salt into 1 quart water to make isotonic solution... or 1/4tsp table salt per cup, with mesquite or acacia, boiled together for 5 min... strain... cool to body temp. Good for eye infections. Michael Moore says that honey locust and mimosa also work and they are good for eye infections, including kids with pink eye and stoned bikers. Interestingly enough, at least two of those trees contain DMT in the root and bark.... and at least one has narcotic properties in the flowers..... An excellent tincture for pain and stress, anxiety, etc can be made from mimosa blossoms. He says goldenseal is best for eye infections, though.

He tells a story about Rainbow Family, Deadheads and otherwise "hippies in the woods" gatherings (of city people and college students).... and I can agree, having grown up around Boone and Asheville, NC... and having once owned a VW bus..... that such gatherings generally do end in dysentery and staph infections and hospitalizations for a variety of things... enthusiastic idealism never trumps biology and reality. Reality always has a remarkably rude way of smacking one up-side the head.

He says that adding a few drops of herb extract to OTC eyedrops is usually the safest way to go. Myrrh tincture is good for sties, as is fennel tea. Neutral saline, "tear type" eye drops.
